Transnational Partner Meeting - Valencia

- From May 21st to May 23rd -

From May 21-23, 2024, the SMART STEP project met in Valencia, Spain, with representatives from Mundus, DBYN, SSC, UPV, CEA-PME, VIS, INTIME, and Mimboman in attendance. The meeting started with a welcome from Mundus and UPV, followed by a review of the project’s progress and upcoming tasks. Key sessions included a comprehensive workshop on the interactive knowledge platform, covering its functionalities, testing plans, and launch schedule. The Work Based Learning Program was also discussed in depth, highlighting the German Dual System as a model and addressing implementation challenges in different countries. Educational modules on entrepreneurial ecosystems and business modeling were reviewed, with practical activities such as mock quizzes and group discussions to enhance understanding. The participants engaged in planning for setting up incubators in their institutions, informed by UPV’s methodology and best practices. The event also featured a visit to the IDEAS-UPV facilities, providing insights into successful startups and incubator operations. Cultural activities, including a city tour and local visits, fostered networking and collaboration among the partners.

Transnational Partner Meeting - GHANA

- From April 24th to April 26th -

The first face-to-face partner meeting was held in Ashaiman – Accra (Ghana) hosted by Don Bosco Youth Network.

The meeting’s goals were to introduce the partners, explain project objectives and activities, and discuss the state of entrepreneurship and vocational education training (VET) in Ghana and Cameroon. On Day 1, the meeting started with welcomes and an overview of the project by Mundus. INTIME shared a SWOT analysis of Cameroon’s VET system, and SSC and DBYN talked about Ghana’s entrepreneurial sector. After touring Don Bosco Technical Institute, UPV presented on what makes a successful entrepreneur, and Prototipi discussed the Knowledge Exchange Platform and Open Education Resources. The day ended with working sessions on WP3’s Good Practice Compendium and WP5’s capacity building in VET programs.

On Day 2, the session began with a recap and then moved to discussions on assessment tools for study visits and focus groups. Further working sessions focused on WP5’s module structure and content for entrepreneurship education. Presentations on the communication plan, management plan, quality assurance, and future activities were also given. The meeting wrapped up with final remarks, questions, and an emphasis on maintaining quality and alignment in all project activities.

Kick Off Meeting

- January 2023 -

Smart Step, a new adventure that commenced on January 25th and 26th with an online gathering where all partners shared their enthusiasm and eagerness to be part of a thriving and fruitful collaboration. The project’s launch was marked by a vibrant exchange of ideas, setting the stage for a journey filled with innovation and shared success. The event demonstrated a strong sense of unity and purpose, laying the foundation for what promises to be an exciting and rewarding endeavor.
